Hypnosis has been around before magic, its a way to persuade someones wil into doing somenthing, its facinating and most people think its rubbish, some people think that hypnosis only works on 30 persont of people but really it works in 99.3 of people, they are countless ways to hypnotise somebody, it could be words, pictures, songs , letters, etc...
My most reason discovery is the hypnotic handsake

Please understand, this is not a personal attack, but I'm simply trying to understand where you are coming from with these claims and where you are getting your information from.

As for my bona fides, I am a Certified Hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists, I taught the very first ever, course on safety for stage hypnotists at their 2006 convention and wrote the ONLY ebook on that same topic. I've been performing stage shows since 1967, when I was only 15 and, well... you get the idea...

So, please, fill us in on where your statistics are coming from. I really am honestly curious.

Okay, let's start with the first myth you have going on here - the "it's a way to controll someones wil" (spelling errors are yours, not mine, by the way)...

Sorry, but hypnosis is NOT a way to control someone's will, but a way to engage the imagination and influence behavior, which is not the same thing at all. In point of fact, the "will" whatever that may be, has little to nothing to do with the hypnotic process - it's all about imagination, cooperation and concentration.

I would strongly suggest that you look into getting some professional training in the field before expounding on it so forcefully in the future.

Next, you assert that something like 97.8% of all people can be hypnotized. Again, this is also something of an arguable issue as the figures regarding mental retardation and those who are simply too young to understand the hypnotic process to be a much larger part of the total population than what you are asserting. So I would have to ask where you got that figure - Jonathan Royale?

try hiding a secreat message in ur sentences like "When you go into trance you'll still be able to hear my voice" , the secret words there are "go into trance" , u wanna say those three words louder than all the others or in a different tone, than try hypnotising ur cient

Night: - Thanks for the kind words. Much of my work is corporate shows and the like these days as I've managed to get away from working things like fairs and such, but I'll do what I can to keep the group posted of upcoming public shows.

I WILL be teaching my Safety Course in Chicago on June 14th - it's a 4 hour, full version of the one I ran, in short form, at the National Guild of Hypnotists 2006 convention and will include free copies of my book on the subject to all who attend. If anyone is interested, they can contact me, privately.

Bushinmarcos: Great questions! Bill Hewitt's book on past life regression has been a topic of some controversy since it was first published. While interesting, there is very little substantive support for the reality of past life regression as proog of reincarnation as yet. And regression is most emphatically something one should NOT do in a stage show - the probability of the volunteer going back to a traumatic event is way too high. Current estimates of child abuse (not just from parents, but from teachers, baby-sitters and other care-givers) are currently running as high as one-in-four adults having experienced some form of abuse as a child.

Having something like that happen on stage, in fromt of an audience, is NOT something any performer wants to have to deal with - and can lead to some nasty insurance claims, as well!

This is a technique that's supposedly used to good effect in Eriksonian-style hypnosis and parts of NLP. It really doesn't work.
