Hello,

Adding friends on mymagiczone.com is different than adding friends in myspace.

First Login (of course)

Then, while you are looking at someone's profile, click on the "add to friends list" icon that is on that person's "profile bar" (The silver bar that is under the navigation menu).

The page will refresh and the icon will go away.

You then wait for that person to login and approve you.

mymagiczone.com uses one-way friends adding. Meaning that when the other person approves your request, they are added to your friends list but you are not automatically added to their friends list.

Myspace uses bi-directional friends adding. Meaning that on myspace when a person approves your request they are added to your friends list and you are added to their friends list.

We may be able to offer bi-directional friends adding sometime soon if that is what our members want.

mymagiczone.com also has the option to allow "auto-approve" friends adding. What that means is that you visit someone's profile, click the "add to friends list" icon and that person is automatically listed on your friends list. They will not be aware that you added them as a friend unless they visit your profile and see their avatar on your friends list. The "Auto-approve" friends adding is not being used currently.

I think that bi-directional friends adding would be great. I think the one-way friends adding will get confusing as to whether or not you are really someones friend.

I am also confused on how to change my profile template, I am not able to select any of the other templates. Also how do I make the boxes on my profile see through or a different color than white?

Thanks

Jon

About the profile templates. There's no need to change templates. By default, everyone gets the most flexible template which includes all the content panes. Just use the panes that you want. Any unused panes do not display when someone is viewing your profile.
