Modern Coin Magic by J.B.Bobo is the classic course in coin magic and it is available in a 4 DVD set by Magic Makers, Inc. You will be shown every coin trick, as well as, every basic and advanced coin sleight taught in the book to get you on your way to becoming a modern coin magician.

The instructor on the DVD is Ben Salinas. Even though this is a 4 DVD set, it is a fast paced instructional DVD that covers over 170 sleights and tricks. Each technique or trick is quickly demonstrated and explained once. Then, it is on to the next sleight or trick. Not much time is spent on the details or nuances. Also, in some of the explanations you may see some flashing or hear the coins talk. The fast pace and occasional flashing doesn't bother me since I don't consider this as a DVD about performance but rather as a reference on techniques and effects that does a good job of converting the written book into a visual reference.

If you have Bobo's Modern Coin Magic book but don't yet understand the material because you consider yourself to be more of a visual learner, then I think you will benefit from this DVD set. On the other hand, If you already have the book and understand most of it, then you may have less of a need for the DVD set.

One of the nice things about this DVD set is not what is in the DVD themselves but what is on the DVD box. The rear cover has a complete table of contents that lists all of the techniques and tricks on each of the DVDs. This makes it easy to find which DVD a particular move or trick is located on.
