Ok, first I should say I'm not the kind of guy who buys a specific trick. But, I do enjoy learning techniques, so Jeff McBride's Card Manipulations series is a personal fave. I know some close up magi want to go to stage, and some stage people would like to get closer to the audience. This is a good study in combinig both. He covers not only the techniques of manipulation, he provides advice as to improve your show, work in the material, and get experience in the real world. I use this stuff at a distance and in someone's face, and it has never failed me. I know the sleight people favor in close, like the pass and such, but there's something to be learned by all in this 3 part series. A must have for the library...........
