| I think a good forum would be a place where people could post videos of themselves doing tricks. NO TUTORIALS though, just people doing tricks. |

| I agree with Jon a place to put up videos would be great. It would allow for some constructive criticism from fellow magicians and give the site something that no other site has. A tutorial section could be added but will be very difficult because our secrets would be exposed to almost anyone that joins the forums. |

Maybe a "Magic in the Media" forum where people discuss magic that is shown, or going to be shown, in any forms of media, whether its their local newspaper or a Grand Illusion show on ABC.
Another thing I would love to see, that most of the forums I attend to regularly dont have, are contest. |

Hey, we're no ordinary magic forum. We've got profles! You can easily post a video to your profile. What we could then do is create a forum category where you can announce the video on your profile.
What do you think?

| the video posting alert is good, becuase from my internet show i host i post a new magic video every monday, and i have already given the idea about a constructive feed back thing, i hope we get it because i think it will help out alot of people, in many aspects of magic |

Can you do a section that is you have to have a password to get into? Then as a member gets better and shows they care for the art of magic and not just wanting to find out the secrets, then they can join this section. This area can have videos that we talk about - try this or do that or read this book to see how to.. etc. This way someone just wanting to know how something is done can not get in.
When I had my retail magic shop open, I had the Pro. Room. If you bought anything in the shop I would walk you into the back and teach you how to do the effect. As you learned more and more about magic, I would then invite you to join us in the back and just hang out. The back had all the great books and more advance magic effects. Magician's would come from all over to hang out do tricks and learn. If you had a move you wanted to work on, this was a great place. I would like to see a "Back Room" here. That way we can help each other, but protect the art. I see tooooooo many people on youtube or the like doing tricks they should not have up, or telling how tricks work or showing how to make tricks etc. We as magicians need to promote and protect this art we love so much.

but yeah we can make a group profile and then when you go into those things it can be set to private

yeah the stickam idea sounds good. I have a question though, on stickam can you only upload with a webcam, or can you upload any video you make??
man i'm excited my idea was so well received. this site is going to be great!!
I think that we should DEFINITELY have a back room though. like only very active members get the password, and we can all help eachother out and stuff. |

What I will most likely do is create a forum category where you can announce that you've posted a new "PERFORMANCE" video of yourself doing an effect. This will not be a place to announce someone other than you doing an effect.
With this in mind, tutorials, or teaching and exposure videos are a sure way of getting your profile deleted and you will be blocked from creating another profile.
I also like the idea of a magic in the media category as a place to discuss magic in movies, TV, etc.
