| I don't think a chat room is the "best" idea right now. The problem with chat rooms is there has to be enough people at ALL times to keep it flowing with discussions. Not everyone is online at the same time which is why this forum is so great. It allows others to see and join in on discussions that may have started hours or days before. Also people can search the forum to see if there question/topic has already been covered. |

I understand what you mean, but it would be nice to have a place to drop in and just chat. I hate to open, then reopen and again and again the forums pages just to say two words. It is nice to post things for people over time as they can stop by can leave a message.
I ave been on groups where at certain times we would have a formal type of meeting as far as cert. times and cert. day of the week that we would meet. There where times we would have 20 magicians on it and times we would have just two or three.
Just my copper and silver (2 cents)... |

| Ok the certain time idea may work but you still run into the problem of people not being able to get to their computer at that time and like you mentioned in can be an unconstant with 3 people one time and twenty the next. I'm not trying to shut down the idea because their are good sides to chat room and bad sides. Plus with chat rooms its can get some what confusing when everyone is trying to start their own topic and other times you got a lack of topics. I guess I just see a lot of the bad sides to chat rooms from experience and a webmasters stand point. |

| chat rooms can be hard. but i think that if we did set a certain time, maybe once or twice a week. that could work. we could have a set "topic of the day" too. or we could have a question and answer session with some more experienced magicians. |

Chat rooms is very low proirity on my list. You guys can get togethr chat offline.
If I do bring in a chat room it would be for special occasions or events like a guest host. |
