Great news that we're finally going to be seeing the possibility of a 'back room'

Perhaps a requirement might be some sort of magic bio?

I think the 'Back Room', while a little elitist, is basically a good idea. If someone is struggling with aspects of a trick or routine it is difficult to offer help or tips online without unwittingly giving the secret away. Unless it is a trick I particularly want to learn myself, I don't want to know how its done!

However, I think your concerns about the back room 'diverting' traffic from the main forum are valid. I have always enjoyed dipping into forums like this, and My Magic Zone is a particularly good one. Up to date and interesting topics are what keep a forum like this alive.

Might I suggest a new Forum Category for those new to magic. An area were help and encouragement could be given to anyone interested in starting/improving their magic. NOT just blatant YouTube type instructions on how tricks are done, but tips on performing; what, and what not, to read/buy; career advice?

As well as giving new readers something worth reading, it would also give the 'back room boys' motivation to continue contributing to the main forum.

Joe
