Should this forum have a "Back Room"?
A place to discuss effects and methods in greater detail.
Should it be a hidden forum? Should it be invitation only? by application of some sort? by demonstration of skills?
I have some ideas on how this should be done but I want to hear from the members. |

| I have been to some magic sites that you have to take a magical quiz in order to advance. I think that would be something to think about. My Vote is Yes, just as long as there is a way to show that they are truely into magic and just not wanting the answers to suffice their hunger for getting passed the amazement. |

It lloks like most people are for it. Anyone have idea on how to grant access to the back room?

i´m not sure man, maybe a real quiz/test with answers that u cant just look for in google plus the aprovement of 3 members just in case, thats just an opinion, i´m sure we can get something with anyone with another idea?,
ohh , another thing, what about a trade zone or something like that? I have FROZEN from nefesch and the SKYWALKER levitation from the Enchantment books, and I would gladly trade for the Self Opening Soda or Helter Shelter |

I was also thinking that part of the qualifications be that members should be active on the site. Things like posting videos, writing blogs, and participation in the forums. |

| i agree 100 percent, i think we should have a skill demostraton or a test, can u please no let the test be about history because some magicians dont know there history ( bushinmarcos)..... lol. |

Yes, this topic has been around from the start of mymagiczone.com
A private area can be implemented simply by creating a secure forum and giving security access accordingly. However, I do have two concerns about a private/members only forum.
1. Although such a forum can be used to discuss magic more freely it should not be used to expose the secrets of marketable effects and methods. I believe all of our members feel this way but I thought I would mention it anyway.
2. If everyone posts in the private forum only, then activity on the more public forums will decrease. With more than 60% of the daily traffic to mymagiczone.com coming from non-members using search engines and inbound links we will need fresh content in the public forums to continue attracting new visitors. I will ask that members that are given access to the private forum continue contributing to the community by posting in the public forums.
As far as access to a private forum goes, since this a community site then access should be given to those that actively participate and contribute to the mymagiczone.com community (and the magic community in general). Therefore, once it becomes official, entrance to the private forum will be by invitation only.
So, keep an eye out for a newsletter in January 2008 announcing the private forums.
