I posted this on another forum but I figure Ill post it here as well. It truly doesnt have anything to do with magic but was found in a magic movie. Without further ado:

OK, So I decided to make the heart locket from the movie "The Illusionist" for my 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend, Kawen (actually Karen). The source to that I am following to construct it can be found here

This will be my log for the construction.

Day One:

Purchased two bags containing 5 1 3/4 inch wooden hearts and a bag of 7/32 x 1 1/4 axel pegs.

Here is a pic of what I did to the hearts:

Thats all the labor for Day one. Total time: 20 minutes

dang that looks complicated. Maybe when your done you can make some directions of your own. I'm sure they would be better.

i finished it so that it changes frmo an oval to a heart but I didnt make it open. I just gave it to her as is....
