This is a documentary that I say over at the Woods.  It was nicely put together and it really sheds some light on a good magician.  Watch it, he talks about reality in the magic world, atleast reality for him.  Its good and it made me smile.  Check it out here.   There may be a cuss word or two and some exposure but its more than just the magic, its the experience you should be inspired by.

That was very interesting. The video must be a few months old though, because according to Smoothini's Myspace his son is already born.

However, as much as I'd love to do street magic as a career, I think it's unwise for him to completely rely on the generosity of his spectators for money. He should get a job, so that he at least has a steady source of income. Then whenever he gets off work or has a day off he can go out and perform for some extra cash.

The Video itself is new.  After editing everything and putting things in the right order they just completed the project.

The thing is, hes not doing only "street" magic, he is performing for charity events, bars, restaurants etc.  He is a magician.  There are guys who just perform for a living.  Magic IS his job.

Wow, I was just looking around on google when I noticed my name was attached to this thread. I'm glad you liked the documentary. I know a lot of people have told me to get a "real" job, but.... well let's just say that I still do magic full time and I'm doing very well. Thanks for the support. And at the time I was working as the house magician for 4 different bars and the head performer for an upscale San Diego nightclub. That documentary only highlighted a few days during the roughest time of my life. Which was the week after I found out my girlfriend was pregnant. She's my fiance now.
