Hey guys time for a new review! I recently purchased Paul Cummins lecture notes callled .....from a shuffles deck in use......... and let me say this set of notes are amazing. If none of you have ever purchased lecture notes you might have trouble understanding just how great these are. most lecture notes carry about 5-10 effects but dont hold me to that just the ones i have come across have been sort of "thin" also most lectures dont go into too much detail about the effect in question because your kinda suppose to be their. FASDIU comes with over 32 effects, mostly cards but a few coin ones too. what i liked about these notes is that they all can come from a random deck with no need for stacking or gaff cards. i like this a lot because it allows you to have a a set of effects that you can produce on the fly no need for a set up and specs. can shuffle to their hearts content. so if your ever with your friends and they want to see a trick you will always be ready.

about the material

let me tell you the effects do range here, some are very hard hitting and visual and some are very slow but still offer good endings. Paul goes into great detail about the patter and the logic behind it. and it seems like he has thought this through with great detail. because he goes into the material with great detail being at the lecture, while helpfull, is not even needed.  9/10

Difficulty

I want anyone who is reading this and is not knowledgable about card sleights to proceed with caution. a lot of the effects in here are not for people who dont know at least a mid-to-high level sleights.  i want  to let you all know that  the way he talks about moves in this book is very "blah". for example: he will just say " you are now going to execute Senor Torino's "One Card Drop Supreme" and that will be the end of it. he doesnt explain it at all so knowledge of sleights is kind of  needed, but even if you dont know these you can figure out what he is trying to accomplish and substitute your own move. he also lets you know where your can find info for the certain sleights. the one move that i will recomend you know is Marlo's "deliberate side steal" it is a move he uses very very often and i find it a necessity to know. even if you dont know it you should, cause in my opinion it is a very good move to use in any situation.  7/10

Price

these lecture notes run for $25. is it worth it? HECK YES! there are over 32 effects and sometimes you dont even get that many effects in a book! 10/10

Overview

Guys these lecture notes are top notch in my book. if you know your sleights or at least have enough knowledge to be able to incorporate your own you will do fine. the amount of material in this book is worth the price and if you want some more info about the effects themselves go to http://www.fasdiu.com/fasdiu.html
   - if you all want to know more go ahead and ask.
